<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a macromolecular crystal device in which there is no defect of electrical joint due to a step between electrodes, regularity of molecular arrangement is high, and the electrical characteristics are enhanced. <P>SOLUTION: In a device having a macromolecular crystal 401 consisting of spiral polyacetylene and a pair of electrodes 403, 404, at least a portion of each of the electrodes 403, 404 is disposed in the same terrace 402 of the macromolecular crystal consisting of spiral polyacetylene.
