APC CIRCUIT, AND OPTICAL DISK PLAYBACK DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a time when the light emission amount of a laser diode reaches a target light emission amount from a drive start.

SOLUTION: An APC circuit 101 includes a saturation detection circuit 116 for detecting the saturation of an output of an error amplifier circuit 115. When the saturation detection circuit 116 detects the saturation of the output of the error amplifier circuit 115, the time constant of a low-pass filter 117 becomes smaller than when the saturation detection circuit 116 does not detect the saturation of the output of the error amplifier circuit 115.
