BLACK MATRIX SUBSTRATE, COLOR FILTER AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a black matrix substrate whose surface is flat when forming a pigmented layer and which prevents occurence of a collapse in which a coloring material forming the pigmented layer is mixed with a coloring material on an adjacent pigmented layer by entering over the black matrix.

SOLUTION: In a black matrix substrate which has a substrate, and a black matrix formed on the substrate and including a light-shielding material, a fluorine-based repellent material and a resin, the fluorine amount is arranged to be 0 to 20% at the height of 5a/10 from the substrate when the light-shielding material is dyestuff, the height of the black matrix is a and the fluorine amount on the uppermost surface is 100%.
