<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspicious person (abnormal event) detection method and device for accurately detecting a suspicious person or an abnormal event by quick observation. <P>SOLUTION: A rule registration part 15 is configured to store a sequence length-categorized action sequence rule showing the action sequence of a suspicious person and a route length-categorized movement route rule showing the movement route of the suspicious person. A processing part 12 is configured to: track a person in the image of a camera 11, and repeatedly update action sequence data in which the operations of the tracked person are time-sequentially arranged and movement route data in which the whereabouts of the tracked person are time-sequentially arranged; when the operation of the tracked person is changed, check whether or not the action sequence matching the action sequence rule is included in the action sequence data for each sequence length, and increase scores on the corresponding time; when the whereabouts of the tracked person change, check whether or not the movement route matching the movement route rule is included in the movement route data for each route length, and increase the scores on the corresponding time; and when the scores exceed a threshold, determine that the tracked person is a suspicious person. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
