<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately recognize a subject on distortion correction processing, using a relatively small scale circuit. <P>SOLUTION: A distortion correction coefficient at least includes a first distortion correction coefficient calculated based on a physical characteristic of a lens in an optical system 110 and an incident angle of incident light from a virtual projection plane VP set to the optical system, and a second distortion correction coefficient which is an image height from an optical center at which an imaging device intersects with the optical axis of the optical system, calculated from a tangent function of the incident angle to the optical system as a variable. If a minimum incident angle, producing the second distortion correction coefficient of a predetermined value or greater, exists, the virtual projection plane is changed in a manner as to avoid a region corresponding to an incident angle larger than the minimum incident angle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
