<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of suppressing generation of abnormal noise while suppressing an increase in meshing friction. <P>SOLUTION: A biasing mechanism 42 includes a first wedge 61 provided in an opening 45 while the another end 26b of a worm shaft 26 is prevented from moving in a direction where it leaves a worm wheel and a ring spring 62 having a pair of second wedges 63 in contact with the first wedge 61 and a second bearing 38. The respective second wedges 63 are formed in a way that they are energized by the ring spring 62 to tuck the first wedge 61 from both sides of the worm shaft 26 in a circumferential direction and to energize the another end 26b of the worm shaft 26 in a direction where it comes close to the worm wheel while being slidingly moved relative to the first wedge 61. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
