<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motorcycle tire capable of improving a transient characteristic from the time of running straight to the time of turning. <P>SOLUTION: The motorcycle tire includes a belt layer 7. The belt layer 7 includes a wide width ply 7A and a narrow width ply 7B. In a tread portion 2, main oblique grooves 12 are arranged separately in the circumferential direction of the tire, which contain an axially inner oblique segment 12A extending and tilting against the circumferential direction of the tire from an inner end 12i and an axially outer oblique segment 12B which is continuous from the axially inner oblique segment 12A through a bent point 12b and extending and tilting at a large angle relative to the circumferential direction of the tire than relative to the axially inner oblique segment 12A.
