<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio apparatus with an improved distortion characteristic. <P>SOLUTION: A D/A converter 22 converts an input digital audio signal S2 to an analog audio signal S3. An analog volume circuit 30 amplifies the output signal S3 of the D/A converter 22 with a gain depending on a volume value set by a user. The analog volume circuit 30 is configured to gradually change the gain as the volume value is changed. The D/A converter 22 and the analog volume circuit 30 are monolithically integrated on a single semiconductor substrate and are configured to operate according to respective clock signals in an integral multiple relationship originated from a common master clock signal MCLK. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
