<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid vehicle drive device, capable of easily securing a loading space of a motor, saving space, converting a conventional FR vehicle into a hybrid vehicle with slight labor, time and cost, and securing high efficiency of motor and efficiency of power transmission further. <P>SOLUTION: The hybrid vehicle drive device 1 includes an engine 2 and a motor (generator motor 3) mounted on a front portion of a vehicle, a transmission 4 mounted on a rear portion of the vehicle, a sub transmission (decelerator 5) connected to an output shaft 21 of the engine 2 and to an output shaft of the motor 3, and a connecting shaft 6 connecting an output shaft 55 of the sub transmission 5 to the transmission 4.
