<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a device and a method for automatic train stop which enable further improvement of the accuracy of speed check. <P>SOLUTION: The device for automatic train stop includes an ATS on-board device 100 which is so constituted that it can receive first and second signals transmitted respectively from a ground coil which transmits the first signal for generating a speed check pattern and from a ground coil which transmits the second signal for other than the information for generating the speed check pattern, and which checks a detected train speed with a brake pattern and controls the train speed. The ATS on-board device 100 generates the speed check pattern on the basis of the first signal and also measures mileage of a train, using the train speed, when it receives the first signal through a pickup coil 13, while it corrects the speed check pattern on the basis of the mileage and kilometer information read out from the ground coil DB 11, when it receives the second signal through a pickup coil 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
