STEERING CONTROL SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and lightweight steering control system for preventing breakage of a component.

SOLUTION: An ECU 40 calculates a basic transfer ratio on the basis of a steering angle detected by a steering angle sensor 31. The ECU 40 calculates a corrected transfer ratio by correcting the calculated basic transfer ratio on the basis of a position of a rack 6. Specifically, the ECU 40 calculates the corrected transfer ratio by correcting the basic transfer ratio so that a value of the basic transfer ratio is reduced as the rack 6 moves from a predetermined first position near one end of a moving range to the side of the one end or as the rack 6 moves from a predetermined second position near the other end of the moving range to the side of the other end. The ECU 40 determines either the basic transfer ratio or the corrected transfer ratio as the transfer ratio on the basis of the position of the rack 6. The ECU 40 controls drive of a first actuator 22 on the basis of the determined transfer ratio.
