The present invention provides a display panel whereby the occurrence of a gap between substrates is minimized and, even if the gap occurs, the impact of the gap on a light-emitting element can be reduced. The display panel is provided with an element substrate including multiple pixels each of which is comprised of multiple light-emitting elements, an opposite substrate arranged on the pixel side opposite the element substrate, and a sealing resin layer interposed between the element substrate and the opposite substrate, for sealing the light-emitting elements. A surface which is an opposing surface of the element substrate and positioned above the light-emitting element is defined as an above-element surface, and a surface of the opposite substrate, which is opposite the above-element surface is defined as an opposite-element surface. A surface which is an opposing surface of the element substrate and positioned above and between mutually adjoining pixels is defined as an above-and-between-pixel surface, and a surface of the opposite substrate, which is opposite the above-and-between-pixel surface is defined as an opposite-and-between-pixel surface. At this point, a distance (D1) between the above-element surface corresponding to the light-emitting element constituting the pixel and the opposite-element surface is shorter than a distance (D2) between the above-and-between-pixel surface positioned above and between mutually adjoining pixels and the opposite-and-between-pixel surface. |
