A parking assistance device (1) comprises the following: a parking target position detection unit (34) that uses a first birds-eye view video to detect a parking target position for parking a vehicle; a viewpoint position determination unit (34) that determines a viewpoint position; a rotation amount determination unit (34) that determines a rotation amount; a viewpoint change table creating unit (35) that creates a viewpoint conversion table for rotating the first birds-eye view video on the basis of the viewpoint position and the rotation amount; and a second birds-eye view video generation unit (36) that generates a second birds-eye view video from the first birds-eye view video on the basis of the viewpoint conversion table.
