<p>The lamp (1) has a lamp piston designed as a quartz glass chamber (2) with a lower side (4), an upper side (3) and side walls (5). The lamp piston is divided into sub chambers (7a-7d) by separation bars (6), which project from the lower side to the upper side, and are made of quartz glass. Two of the sub chambers (7a, 7d) form a non-linear gas discharge channel in a sequence. The bars extend between the side walls by forming a gap, which fluidically connects the adjacent sub chambers. Electrodes (10) are associated to two of the sub chambers.</p> |
