The invention relates to a method for charging an electric energy store (15) of an electrically driven vehicle (25). A first electric motor (1) of the vehicle is supplied with electric energy by an energy supplying device (11) that lies outside of the vehicle. The first electric motor (1) operates in the motor mode, and the motor shaft of the first electric motor is mechanically connected to a motor shaft of a second electric motor (2) of the vehicle, whereby the second electric motor (2) is mechanically driven by the first electric motor (1). Electric energy that is supplied by the second electric motor (2), said second electric motor operating in the generator mode, is transferred to the electric energy store (15), and the electric energy store (15) is charged by means of said electric energy. The invention further relates to a method for discharging an electric energy store of an electrically driven vehicle and to such a vehicle.
