摘要 FIELD: electricity.SUBSTANCE: in a unipolar DC machine (UM) there are no sliding mechanical-electrical brush contacts, instead of which on each two discs installed on adjacent shafts of rotation, one electroconductive belt is applied, which makes it possible to both electrically and serially connect them and their neighbouring discs. In the generator mode of operation of the proposed UM during rotation of an external motor of a driving shaft, due to effect of electromagnetic induction, in each sector of each electroconductive disc EMFs are induced with directions that depend on directions of rotations of the latter and directions of power lines of field induction of fixed permanent magnets of the inductor. The specified EMFs between themselves are summed up, and when summed, create at the electric output of the UM a resulting permanent voltage = U. When connecting a certain electric load to the output, an anchor current Iwill flow along each disc. In the motive mode, when external permanent voltage = U is connected to the electric output of the proposed UM, the anchor current Iwill flow from its positive terminal to the negative one serially via all discs, electroconductive belts and connecting wires. Since all 4 groups of electroconductive and ferromagnetic discs are in magnetic fields of permanent magnets of a fixed inductor, then currents passing in their sectors start interacting with these fields. It results in rotation of both shafts with a rated angular speed in clockwise direction. At the same time all electromagnet forces that arise in all 4 sections act in concord according to the left-hand rule.EFFECT: considerable increase of voltage of the proposed unipolar DC machine, its increased wear resistance and accordingly expanded field of its application.2 dwg
