<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reducing power consumption in the selection of a transmission antenna in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system. <P>SOLUTION: A radio communication device including a plurality of antennas transmits data on a communication channel with a plurality of subcarriers, from one of a plurality of antennas or more. The device includes: a receiver for receiving signals through each of the plurality of antennas; based on reception signal metrics related to the reception signal, a processor for determining the number of subcarriers, allocated to one or more of the plurality of antennas, for transmitting data; and based on the determination, an antenna selector for selecting one ore more of the plurality of antennas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
