<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of appropriately adjusting the focus of an optical system. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: a focus adjustment part 331 for driving a focus adjustment lens 33 in an optical axis direction to adjust the focus state of an optical system; a zoom magnification change part 321 for driving a zoom lens 32 in the optical axis direction to change a zoom magnification; a focus detection part 221 for detecting the focus state of the optical system by calculating a focus evaluation value under a different focus state while driving the focus adjustment lens in the optical axis direction by the focus adjustment part; a detector 322 for detecting the drive of the zoom lens; a zoom tracking part 36 for performing zoom tracking control to make the focus adjustment part move the focus adjustment lens according to the drive of the zoom lens; and a control part 21 that stops the drive of the focus adjustment lens to make the zoom tracking part perform the zoom tracking control when the drive of the zoom lens is detected while the drive of the focus adjustment lens is performed in order to detect the focus state of the optical system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
