Disclosed are methods for producing class-switched, affinity-matured antibodies which include enriching an immunized cell population tor GL7-positive cells and activating the enriched cells. The methods may be used to improve the efficiency of obtaining immortalized antigen-specific plasma cells or to improve the quality of molecularly cloned Ig heavy and light chains.
