<p>The lift (1) has a lift cabin (3), and a counter weight (4) movable back and forth in a lift shaft (2) by supporting units (7). A compensation unit (8) connects the cabin and the counter weight and compensates weight of the supporting units on a cabin side and on a counter weight side. A guiding device is provided for guiding and stabilizing the compensation unit, and has two conducting elements (15, 16) e.g. rod-shaped rollers, with linear sections that limit movement in a plane (E) stretched by the supporting and compensation units. One of the elements has a defined movable break point. The compensation unit is designed as a cable or chain. The break point is formed as a spring element or hydraulic element. The supporting elements are designed as a belt or cable.</p> |
