<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating liquid for spacer part formation capable of forming a spacer part on a color filter substrate so that the spacer part may have a fixed height, and to provide a method of manufacturing color filter in which the coating liquid for spacer part formation is used. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes: a liquid-repellent treatment step of applying liquid-repellent treatment on the surface of the color filter substrate which has a base material and colored layers formed in a patterned shape and plurally on the base material such that the contact angle of the surface with liquid having surface tension of 40 mN/m becomes 30° or more; and a spacer part formation step of forming a spacer part by applying the coating liquid for spacer part formation which contains at least beads, binder and solvent, and has a surface tension in the range of 25 mN/m to 45 mN/m on the color filter substrate according to an inkjet method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
