<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: In a conventional solid state image pickup device, there has been known a circuit configuration in which a differential pair is formed from effective pixels and reference pixels and amplification MOS transistors provided in each of the effective pixels and the reference pixels operate as MOS transistors at an input stage of the differential pair; however, such a configuration requires balancing of two parameters: a parameter as the amplification MOS transistor and a parameter as an input stage of the differential pair. <P>SOLUTION: The solid state image pickup device includes a differential signal output section in which each type of effective pixels and reference pixels is connected to separate signal lines, signals output from amplification transistors provided at each type of the effective pixels and the reference pixels are subject to differential processing and which is provided separately from the amplification transistors. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
