INTEGRATED TEST ELEMENT FOR A ONE-TIME DRAWING AND ANALYZING OF A SAMPLE TO BE ANALYZED

The instrument for a one-time test, e.g. of blood, has a pricker to draw the blood, and a test field with a reagent which can be viewed to detect a change. A light-conductive hollow optic fiber (1) is concentric around a lancet (2). A reagent layer (9) is bonded to the distal end (4) of the optic fiber. After the extended lancet has drawn blood, it is retracted and embedded within a sterile protection (3). The light through the optic fiber, from the test field, is reregistered by a detector to give the analysis of the reaction. The reaction in the test field is irreversible.
