Circuit arrangement for the stand-by mode of a colour television receiver

Circuit arrangement for a remote-controllable colour television receiver with a shadow mask tube and a stand-by mains transformer which feeds, among other things, the remote control. Two PTC resistors (dual PTC resistor) are used for operating a degaussing device: according to the invention, one PTC resistor is connected in series with the degaussing coil at the mains. In parallel therewith, a series circuit consisting of the second PTC resistor, which continuously keeps the first one heated up in operation, and the primary winding of a smaller 50-Hz mains isolating transformer is connected for supplying the stand-by circuit with power. The previous PTC resistors can be retained unchanged. The solution requires little space and only low costs.
