<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of accurately controlling a motor, based on a rotation angular velocity of the motor. <P>SOLUTION: At a first time t1, a steering angular velocity ωs satisfies first-third conditions. At this time, a first back electromotive force constant Ke1 is calculated. At a second time t2, the steering angular velocity ωs satisfies the first-third conditions. At this time, a second estimated induced voltage EX2 is calculated. Based on the steering angular velocity ωs and the estimated induced voltage EX, a back electromotive force constant Ke is calculated.
