The embodiment of the invention provides a detection system and device for a distributed antenna system, which can implement the operation status monitoring for each antenna branch of the distributed antenna system. An antenna manager detects the service signal power at the antenna of the antenna branch; the antenna manager sends to a detector a feedback message which carries the antenna ID and the service signal power at the antenna of the antenna branch; after receiving the feedback message, the detector calculates the path loss of the antenna branch by the carried service signal power at the antenna and the service signal power at the signal source end, and determines whether the antenna branch works normally according to the path loss of the antenna branch.
