<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underwater excavator and method for introducing a foundation element into a bed of a body of water, particularly for improving fixation of the equipment. <P>SOLUTION: The underwater excavator has a submersible working platform for placing onto a bed of a body of water, some ground contact elements arranged on the working platform for aligning the working platform on the bed of the body of water in an adjustable manner, and at least one guide pipe to receive and guide a drilling tooling. The guide pipe is supported on the working platform in a displaceable and rotatable manner in lengthwise direction in order to improve the fixation, and a guide pipe drive unit is provided on the working platform to drive the guide pipe in a rotating manner. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
