<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a honeycomb structure in which collecting efficiency of fine particle is enhanced and a gas treatment apparatus using the honeycomb structure. <P>SOLUTION: The honeycomb structure 1 is formed of a cylindrical part 5 and partition wall parts 2 with air permeability arranged in a grid shape inside of the cylindrical part 5 and has a plurality of flowing holes 3 which are partitioned by the partition wall parts 2 and in which inlet openings and outlet openings of fluid are alternately sealed with sealing materials 4, the partition wall parts 2 are curved in at least a part of the flowing channels 3 contacting the cylindrical part 2. Surface areas of the partition wall parts 2 are widened because the partition wall parts 2 are curved thereby the collecting efficiency of the fine particle can be enhanced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
