<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a focusing device having a principle suitable for silent continuous shooting, and to provide an imaging apparatus having the same. <P>SOLUTION: A focusing device of the present invention includes: compressing means (90A) which sequentially applies data compression processing to images repeatedly outputted from an imaging element (50); and control means (90, 110) which controls a focus position of an optical system (20) for forming a subject image on the imaging element, on the basis of changes of the data amount of the compressed images per time sequentially generated by the data compression processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
