437,301. Cooling or drying cattle cake &c. LAIDLAW, J. D., and SCOTTISH AGRICULTURAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd., Council Chambers Buildings, Charlotte Street, Leith. April 27, 1934, No. 12819. [Classes 29 and 34 (ii)] Apparatus for cooling or drying granular or lump material, e.g. cattle cake, comprises an opentopped casing 1 having a perforate bottom 11 over which the material fed through the hopper 9 is carried by a conveyer 2 to an outlet shoot 10. Cool or warm air is drawn downwardly through the material by a fan connected by a duct 14 to a chamber 18 beneath the bottom 11. The conveyer may be of the kind described in Specification 437,264, [Group XXX], and itself form the bottom of the casing. |
