<p>The invention relates to a method for providing access to data securely stored in a memory card (102). The method comprises the steps of (i) receiving the memory card (102) in a terminal (110), (ii) transmitting a request for accessing the data via a communication link from the terminal (110) to a device (114), (iii) upon receipt of the request, sending first information from the device (114) to the terminal (110) via the communication link, and (iv) receiving the second information in the terminal (110) and accessing the data using the second information.
