<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, though a height of a side wall can be set lower by using a recently developed thin backlight and the side wall can be produced by cutting of resin with respect to an illuminated cut-out character of which the back of a top plate formed into a character or a figure is surrounded with the side wall and a bottom plate and which has a light source housed therein, and the resin side wall has the disadvantage that it is required to be cut thickly for maintaining a strength to lead to the reduction of illuminance in a junction part between the top plate and the side wall. <P>SOLUTION: The side wall is cut thinly in a top plate junction part and thickly in a bottom plate junction part to secure a required strength while minimizing the reduction of illuminance in the junction part between the top plate and the side wall. In particular, an inner surface of the side wall is formed into a slope not to leave a corner part on the inside of the side wall uncut, whereby a high definition illuminated cut-out character where the uniformity of brightness is ensured throughout the top plate is achieved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
