DEVICE OF CORRECTING WINDING DEVIATION OF GLASS FILM AND METHOD OF CORRECTING WINDING DEVIATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately correct the winding deviation of a glass film regardless of the degree of the winding deviation thereof without breaking the glass film.

SOLUTION: A controller 9 sets the amount of maximum correction for an unwinding mechanism 2 per a predetermined unit length of the glass film G within a range of not breaking the glass film G, and compares an amount of deviation for each unit length of the glass film G with the amount of the maximum correction to correct and move a position in the width direction of the unwinding mechanism 2 to the extent of the amount of deviation in each of the unit length sections if the amount of deviation is not larger than the amount of the maximum correction, and to correct and move the position in the width direction of the unwinding mechanism 2 to the extent of the amount of the maximum correction in each of the unit length sections if the amount of deviation exceeds the amount of the maximum correction.
