Camera system for capturing still or moving images, wherein the camera system (i) provides at least two discrete magnifications that differ from one another, wherein said magnifications are realized by one or more hardware devices and wherein said hardware device or devices receive(s) the light from a substantially identical direction, wherein said identical direction is related to the camera system, (ii) contains a controller, characterized in that said controller can switch on at least one of the discrete magnifications of the camera system at one point in time and at least one of the other discrete magnifications of the camera system at another point in time in a manner dependent on a direct user input at the camera system or as a result of an external signal. |
