摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illuminating device with high electro-optical conversion efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: In a wavelength conversion part 60, distribution of an amount of a fluorescent substance is set corresponding to light intensity distribution of a primary light 31 incident on a wavelength conversion part 60 in a planar direction of an incident face S of the wavelength conversion part 60. Concretely, the distribution of the primary light 31 emitted from an excitation light source 10 has a high density at a crossing position of an optical axis of the excitation light source 10 having an angle of 0&deg; formed by a segment connecting an arrangement position of the excitation light source 10 and the optical axis and a position on a primary light incident face of the wavelength conversion part 60, and near the crossing position (at a center part), and a low density as it is away from the crossing position. Fluorescent substances 40 and 41 are arranged in proportion to magnitude of the density of the primary light 31.
