<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system and an information processing method capable of efficiently performing encoding processing, and to provide a program. <P>SOLUTION: The information processing system has: a specification read circuit 202 for acquiring specification information of a plurality of information processing units; a starting process calculation circuit 203 for calculating the number of processing units in requesting encoders 201a-201d to encode video data, based on the specification information, and enabling each information processing unit to start encoding the processing units; and a division material assignment circuit 207 for dividing the video data for the encoders 201a-201d that have started encoding the processing units, and assigning the divided video data to the respective encoders 201a-201d. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
