PURPOSE: An access control method and system thereof are provided to support high throughput for an NRT(non-real time) traffic and to reduce STA(station) battery consumption. CONSTITUTION: An MAC(medium access control) architecture(100) includes an RCF(resource coordination function)(105) and a DCF(distributed coordination function)(110). The RCF provides QoS(quality of service). The RCF allows a set of frame exchange sequences for transmitting data by using DCF functions and scheduling functions. A legacy beacon is transmitted to a 20 MHz channel. All STAs receive the legacy beacon.
