<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging container of which easiness of holding is improved by preventing slipping of fingers or palm in a packaging container for housing a packaged item that is wound like a roll. <P>SOLUTION: A packaging container 100 includes: a body 10 that includes a rectangular bottom plate 11, a front plate 12, a rear plate 13, a left-side plate 14, and a right-side plate 15 and wherein a film roll 40 wherein a packaged item 1 is wound like a roll is housed and the upper surface is open; a cover 20 including a cover top plate 21 that is connected with the upper edge side 13a of the rear plate and covers the upper open section of the body during closing, and a cover front plate 22; and a cutting means 30 that is provided on the cover front plate to cut the packaged item 1 discharged from the film roll and taken out of the gap between the front plate and the cover front plate.
