<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for segmenting an image with a super-pixel. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes the steps of: inputting an image (step 601); building a graph whose each vertex corresponds to a pixel within the image and whose each edge is associated with a weight indicating the similarity of the corresponding pixel (step 610); using an objective function based on an entropy rate and a balancing function (step 602); obtaining a gain of each edge according to the objective function (step 620); sorting edges according to the gains (step 630); adding the edge with the maximum gain to the graph (step 640); determining whether the number of connected subgraphs is equal to a threshold (step 650); repeating the step 620, the step 630 and the step 640 when it is determined as false, obtaining the desired super-pixel when it is determined as true (step 603). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
