Disclosed is a terminal device which performs wireless communication with a base station device in a mobile communication system. The terminal device is provided with: a transmission mode information receiving means which receives, from the base station device, transmission mode information that corresponds to transmission mode to be set in the terminal device; a transmission mode setting means which sets mode to the transmission mode, which corresponds to the transmission mode information received by the transmission mode information receiving means, in the case where wireless transmission can be performed in the transmission mode; and a wireless transmission means, which performs wireless transmission in the transmission mode.
