<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wrap-around carrier having a panel for preventing displacement of an article, and having a mechanism for maintaining the displacement panel at a proper position. <P>SOLUTION: A blank for forming a carrier has a mechanism for retaining an end wall of the carrier at a setting arrangement. The blank has a series of panels including a base panel 12, a first side panel 14 hingedly connected to the base panel, a second side panel 16 hingedly connected to the base panel, and an end wall panel 34a hingedly connected with the base panel. A retaining mechanism includes two pairs of hingedly connected gusset panels for connecting the end wall 34a to the first side wall 14 and the second side wall 16 and web panels 36a/48a, and 36c/48c. The retaining mechanism further includes an anchoring panel 46a, 32a, 44a coupled to the end wall, and coupled to the first side wall and the second side wall.
