<p>Disclosed are a new number notification method and device. The new number notification method comprises: setting a new number of a user to play content of a ring back tone of an original number of the user; and when a calling party calls the original number of the user, playing to the calling party the ring back tone containing the new number of the user. The technical solution provided by the present invention solves the problem in the prior art that complexity in new number notification is caused by change of the number, thereby achieving the effect of easily and conveniently notifying other users of the new number.</p>
