<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modem for satellite communication capable of giving a priority to certain packet in a separation modem for satellite communication, and to provide a data transmission adapter and a modulation-demodulation unit. <P>SOLUTION: A modem for satellite communication is used in a satellite communication system where an IP packet is transmitted by satellite communication, and comprises a data transmission adapter 20 and a plurality of modems 3031 through 3n. The data transmission adapter 20 acquires the priority information of an IP packet with reference to an application definition table 203 storing the priority information of an IP packet sent from a ground-side network. Each modulation-demodulation unit 30 acquires the priority information of the packet with reference to the header of a packet being sent, stores the packet in a priority buffer 303 based on the priority information of the packet, and takes out a packet from the priority buffer 303 at a ratio corresponding to the priority. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
