The system (1) has a pipe (2) connected with an extinguishing agent source (4) and provided with an extinguishing agent outlet (5) that is arranged between the agent source and an outlet valve (10). A controlling unit (11) controls the outlet valve, and is formed in such a manner that the outlet valve is opened based on a control signal (12) that represents the opening the agent outlet. The controlling unit is formed in such a manner that the outlet valve is closed based on another control signal (13) that represents a predetermined amount of liquid running through the outlet valve. An independent claim is also included for a retrofit kit.
