<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a simple and inexpensive fuel cell system which safely activates and stops the operation without using a purge gas such as a nitrogen gas, ensures to prevent oxygen from intruding from the exterior to avoid the deterioration of the performance, resulting from activating or stopping the operation, and shortens the time to consume the oxygen. <P>SOLUTION: When a fuel cell system is stopped, control means performs the steps of: (1) disconnecting a primary external load; (2) stopping the supply of an oxidant gas by controlling oxidant gas supply means; (3)preventing oxygen from intruding from the exterior to a fuel cell stack by controlling oxygen blocking means; (4) removing oxygen in the oxidant gas of the fuel cell stack by controlling oxygen removing means; (5)stopping the supply of a fuel gas by controlling fuel gas supply means; (6) filling each circulation path with a coolant through a separator by stopping a coolant pump. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
