<p>PURPOSE: A processing method of a video signal and an apparatus thereof are provided to perform accurate prediction by using pixels of a sub prediction block and to restore a sub-prediction block of a chrominance component. CONSTITUTION: An intra prediction unit(252) generates an intra prediction image within a screen from a decoded sample of a current image. An inter prediction unit(254) generates a prediction image by using a reference image stored in a frame storage unit(256). An output value of an inverse transform unit(225) is added to a prediction image from the inter prediction unit in order to restrict a video frame. A filtering unit(230) performs filtering of a reconstructed video frame.
