<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for effectively distributing streaming data such as streaming video and/or audio data or the like. <P>SOLUTION: Streaming data distribution includes the steps of: transmitting streaming data of a first channel to a display device; receiving a change request indicating desired change from the first channel to a second channel; continuing transmission to the display device of the streaming data of the first channel until the streaming data of the second channel becomes usable for transmission to the display device after the reception of the change request; and transmitting the streaming data of the second channel to the display device when the streaming data of the second channel becomes usable for the transmission to the display device after the reception of the change request. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
