<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveyance device and an image forming apparatus that are able to guide a sheet conveyance unit to a predetermined position efficiently and safely and attach or detach it, without attaching or detaching a robust structure such as a frame on the sheet conveyance device body side and a component such as a stay. <P>SOLUTION: In a first paper feeder, protrusions 1a provided on left and right frames 1 are configured such that a conveying unit 5 is insertably guided to the conveying device body from the upstream side in the sheet conveying direction X via slide movement along an opening 5a formed in a unit side plate 8 provided integrally with the conveying unit 5, then the conveying unit 5 is guided above the conveying device body, and, in addition, guided in a sheet width direction orthogonal to the sheet conveying direction X. Without interfering with a stay 26 disposed in the conveyance device body, the conveying unit 5 is guided to a predetermined attaching position by engagement of the protrusions 1a and the opening 5a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
