Disclosed in the present invention is a method for notifying position of control signaling transmission resource and terminal thereof. The method comprises the following steps: a base station notifies the coefficients for indicating the candidate position of initial control signaling transmission resource to the terminal; following the predetermined rule negotiated with the base station, the terminal calculates the candidate position of the control signaling transmission resource of the terminal on each sub-frame according to the candidate position of the initial control signaling transmission resource and the position of the time domain sub-frame or the position of the sub-frame group. The solution can improve the efficiency for configuring the position of the control signaling resource, thus more scheduling gain can be obtained and overhead is not increased.
