摘要 The invention relates to a method for evaluating the functionality of a fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine comprising a high-pressure accumulator for fuel and a high-pressure pump for pumping fuel into the high-pressure accumulator, wherein the pressure (301, 302, 303) in the high-pressure accumulator is increased during a pressure buildup phase (t0-t2) by actuating the high-pressure pump, wherein the actuation of the high-pressure pump is subsequently ended such that the pressure (301, 302, 303) in the high-pressure accumulator drops during a pressure drop phase (>t2), wherein the time curve (301, 302, 303) of a parameter characterizing the pressure in the high-pressure accumulator is detected during the pressure buildup phase (t0-t2) and during the pressure drop phase (>t2), wherein the functionality of the fuel injection system is evaluated on the basis of the time curve (301, 302, 303) of the parameter detected during the pressure buildup phase (t0-t2) and during the pressure drop phase (>t2).
